The Island
I chose that beautiful land
Blue sea, white sand,
To save my lost soul
From the most awful.
Nothing like my island,
A bit of earth in hand
Could save me from you
And the sadness too.
Blooming orange trees,
Almond blossoms and bees,
Olive groves and loneliness
Fill my heart with happiness.
It became my homeland,
Somewhere safe to stand,
I breathed free and happy,
Reborn like a baby.
Living without demand,
And with nothing planned,
Breaking every chain,
Alone but strong again.
Blooming orange trees,
Almond blossoms and bees,
Olive groves and loneliness
Fill my heart with happiness.
Oh, my little island,
My nice safe strand,
You make me who I am,
I owned you all Madam.
I chose that beautiful land,
Blue sea, white sand,
To live my life peacefully
Away from the past misery.
Blooming orange trees,
Almond blossoms and bees,
Olive groves and loneliness
Fill my heart with happiness.
I chose that beautiful land
Blue sea, white sand,
To save my lost soul
From the most awful.
Nothing like my island,
A bit of earth in hand
Could save me from you
And the sadness too.
Blooming orange trees,
Almond blossoms and bees,

Fill my heart with happiness.
